Former Syracuse guard Michael Carter-Williams participates in NBA orientation

Former Syracuse University guard Michael Carter-Williams was one of about 50 new NBA faces filtered through the league's orientation program this week.

Carter-Williams, the 11th pick of the June draft, participated in the photo shoots (see him with buddy Nerlens Noel), the life lessons sessions and the ethics and money management classes. The new Philadelphia 76er seems to be enjoying himself:

The four-day affair is officially called the Rookie Transition Program. The NBA dismissed Shabazz Muhammad from the program Tuesday for bringing an unapproved "female guest" to his hotel room. Finding him in this photo shoot is a bit like a Where's Waldo mission, but Carter-Williams, standing close to Louisville's Peyton Siva, is easier to spot:

Speaking of Siva, the Detroit Pistons signed the 56th pick of the draft earlier this week. And Siva provided some drama during the rookie photo shoot. See for yourself:
